AUTUMN TERM AT THE MENAGERIE!
Menagerie art classes seek to develop imagination and creative design thinking alongside foundational art skills.

WELCOME BACK WEEK 1 / DRAWING ACTIVITIES
Students will start the year gently with a series of line games and mindful drawing activities.

BLOCK 1 / DRAWING THE HUMAN FORM
The young artists will then move on to 3 weeks of drawing the human figure. Students will take in formal drawing activities around proportions and body positioning, leading into experimental drawing and fashion illustration work. We will look at a range of artists and illustrators who draw people.

BLOCK 2 / PRINTING
In this block participants will try a range of different printing techniques, including drypoint etching and multi-layered mono printing. During this block we will be doing some slow looking at some surrealist works by Leonora Carrington and Dorothea Tanning.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Classes will be held at Blackhill Bakery, 1431 Dumbarton Road, Scotstoun G14 9XS.
Students need to bring an A3 sketch book, all other materials will be provided.
