SUMMER TERM AT THE MENAGERIE!
Menagerie art classes seek to develop imagination and creative design thinking alongside foundational art skills.

BLOCK 1 / INK!
Taking inspiration from artists Marlene Dumas and Saul Steinberg we will explore a range of exciting techniques from line drawing to ink bleeding. 

BLOCK 2 / EXPERIMENTAL FILM!
In this block participants will increase their awareness of photography, film, colour an composition through a range of experimental filming exercises. As part of this block we will watch a range of experimental, artist-led, short films and animations.

BLOCK 3 / TSHIRT PRINTING!
To celebrate the end of the year, every young person will go through a multi-layered printing process to design their own t-shirt, inspired by Andy Warhol’s whimsical ice cream illustrations.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Classes will be held at Blackhill Bakery, 1431 Dumbarton Road, Scotstoun G14 9XS.
Students need to bring an A3 sketch book, all other materials will be provided.
