ART & DESIGN WORKSHOPS
Our workshops seek to develop both creative design thinking alongside foundational art skills.
Each workshop is the celebration of the life and works of a different artist or designer.

Following a fun welcome week where we will have some art games, quick making and looking at some art, there will be two main blocks of work this term.
BLOCK 1 / Drawing
To ease us back into the new school year we will do some focussed work around drawing skills. We will be investigating how the Old Masters made light secret drawings under their paintings to help develop better accuracy in our own sketching abilities. However, we will also be turning accurate drawing on its head by drawing with some rule-breaking tools and approaches.
BLOCK 2 / Pot making and Grayson Perry
For the second half of the term we will think about how we can tell stories and record histories through materials and drawing combined with basic decorative pot making.
Previous students currently have a week of priority booking after which I will email details of any remaining spaces. Join our mailing list if you would like updates at theglasgowmenagerie@gmail.com
