ART & DESIGN WORKSHOPS
Our workshops seek to develop both creative design thinking alongside foundational art skills.
Each workshop is the celebration of the life and works of a different artist or designer.

BLOCK 1 / Colour theory and painting with acrylics
In these sessions participants will work on their knowledge, mixing skills and sensitivities with colour. The primary school aged classes will explore the colour blue and its complimentary; orange. The older classes will build on existing colour knowledge to explore colour matching and working with neutrals.
BLOCK 2 / Contemporary sculpture
Through looking at the works of contemporary sculptors such as Barry Le Va and Martin Boyce, we will think about expressing ideas and concepts such as movement and dreams through 3D making.
BLOCK 3 / Costume and art
Over three weeks we will take inspiration from performance artist Leigh Bowery and the Club Kids fashion movement to create outrageous pieces for the students (or others!) to wear.
Previous students currently have a week of priority booking after which I will email details of any remaining spaces. Join our mailing list if you would like updates at theglasgowmenagerie@gmail.com
